Hello there! I thought it was time for a kind of Welcome Wagon.

If you recently friended me please comment here and tell me something about yourself and why you think I am interesting enough to be friended. I will friend back almost everyone if we do have something in common or you take the time to actually talk to me. That's what friends do, right?
Friending might take some time because I'm paranoid I like to read people's entries for a while before adding. You really do not miss much, my contributions to fandom and quite random things will always be public, I mostly f-lock the personal stuff.

Some things you should know:
- I'm the kind of person who ends up in the kitchen on any party and stays there for the duration of the evening. I'm sure this says something about my character, I'm just not yet sure what.
- I spam a lot, but don't always comment. Please don't take that as disinterest. I read most of the posts on my flist even if I often don't speak up.
- I believe in being honest. I am unable to sugarcoat, so if you're upset by brutal honesty, don't ask me for my thoughts. This also means that yes, I really do want your honest opinion when I ask for it. I won't be upset if yours differs from mine. This doesn't mean that I will accept insults, though.
- I don't respect people who think any sort of character bashing is okay
- I think that discussing politics and religion is usually pointless. So please don't try...
- I like talking to people. Please feel free to comment as often as you like!
- Every day is Defriending Amnesty Day. I'd just be glad if you dropped me a note about the why.

Saw a familiar face at time and chips, stumbled upon your journal and me being a lj-newbie had to be told to friend you. And it feels kinda weird to write that down in your journal because you know the whole story. ;) Every now and then I come by to read your journal and now I have finally found something I can comment on. Hello! I tend to do stealth friending, and then commenting a bit later. Sometimes it takes the stalker-ish feelings away. I'm a bit strange, I post mainly Doctor Who stuff, and I come from New Zealand. Most of which you could probably find out by looking at my journal, but still. :) I've seen you in various communities, for one. Recently, though, I saw the story you linked to and bookmarked it to read again (for when my thoughts are clearer). Hello there. I friended you because of the dw_anon thingy and it took a while to friend because I'm one of these nutters who worries about friending ppl without being invited to in case I'm intruding or something. Also, I've seen you posting about a lot and you're fun. There's loads of ppl I want to friend but never quite do it in case they object to a relative stranger popping up. My LJ is weird. Hi! I'm friending you because I'm fast developing a Torchwood obsession to go along with my new-Who obsession. I'm an intermittent poster on LJ; I make frequent resolutions to post more but life seems to get in the way. 	Hi. I'm still a novice at this LJ thing and I've been trying to post a story over at Torchwood Coffee and the $*@@&^%! won't work. I cannot seem to get the text of my story behind the cut. 	It could be that the cut isn't shown in your preview, LJ does that IIRC. So, if you've done everything like written down here it should work. Just post and refresh the comm main page to see if it works. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Soooo, didn't friend you, but just had to knock on your door. Why? Well, see, I tried to find a Raumpatrouille Orion comm today or something to that effect. Something for German shows, you know, to geek out, cause yes, we do have some cool shows and movies. Anyway, stumbled over your name there and after looking through your bio I just *had* to knock for soooo many reasons, the most important of them being a) you're a SciFi nutter and really, us nutters have to stick together, b) you're from NRW - Bielefeld! 	Three guesses who I am at OG. ;) I'd read "Before I Sleep" back when you posted it, but had no clue I "knew" you. Um... I like Who - new and old - and Torchwood, duh, and various other scifi/fantasy stuff. And I knit. I was messing around with http://trustflow.lshift.net/ and you came up. The weird thing is I think I've been on your journal before... but anyway. I was spooked by how much we have in common, although you actually write fic rather than threaten to and then fail to finish them like I do :D I'm currently studying The Science That Must Not Be Named, I'm a fan of most things sci-fi but especially Dr Who, Life on Mars, Hitchhiker's guide and, at the moment, Jekyll.
